Has Shah Rukh's stunt in Don 2 inspired a sequence in Sachiin's Aazaan?

That Shah Rukh Khan is an inspiration to many out there is something which is a known fact. Known for his romantic image, he is now looking at action in a big way, case in point being Ra.One and Don 2. No wonder, even his action sequences are now turning out to be a source of inspiration for his friends and followers. This is evidenced from the fact that last year when he jumped from a skyscraper in Berlin, Shah Rukh was being closely observed by his friend Sachiin Joshi.

The entrepreneur turned actor has now incorporated a similar scene in his upcoming film Aazaan as well which is again a spy thriller.

"Sachiin and Shah Rukh have been friends for quite some time and frequently exchange notes around their films", says a source, "When Shah Rukh jumped off a 300 ft tall building in October last year, the moment was etched in Sachiin's memory. He had begun work on Aazaan by then but was sure that he would include something as breath taking in his film before its release."

Both being central protagonists in their films, it was imperative that both Shah Rukh as well Sachiin were adamant that they do their own stunts. In fact after Shah Rukh did the stunt, he had happily tweeted, "Just did an over 300 feet base jump for Don... because you all make me believe I can fly. Time to tell kids about the birds and the bees... ha ha."

Meanwhile, Sachiin too started thinking big and pronto discussed with his director Prashant Chadha about the possibility of adding a scene on similar lines after they were done shooting in France, Morocco, China, Germany, Poland and South Africa.

Confirms a source, "Yes, a special scene has been written keeping this stunt in mind. It acts like a prologue and sees Sachiin jumping from a 36 storey building. As for the height, you can do the maths yourself. However, as far as our understanding goes, so far no actor has jumped from such height in any released film. Sachiin did this stunt last weekend in Bangkok under strict supervision of the action director."
The prologue introduces Sachiin who finds himself in the middle of an assassination plot. Spread over three days, the sequence is said to be on the lines of a Mission Impossible and James Bond series.

On contacting, Sachiin refused to comment on comparisons with Shah Rukh's stunt in Don 2. However he said, "It is quite strenuous to shoot for such scenes though when you have to jump off 36 floors. I don't remember a stunt like this in any Bollywood movie till date. I feel we have done our best and exceeded expectations."

Hope expectations would only soar further once Shah Rukh's feat would be there for all to see in Don 2.
